G4b GFP expression and melting curves
Blockpraktikum Biophysik - Praktikumsversuch G4b
During this two-day practical course you will recombine DNA and make bacteria use it to produce protein (GFP - Green Fluorescent Protein). You will then purify the protein and subject it to spectral analysis. Thanks to its indigenous fluorescence, the presence of GFP can be tracked with bare eye throughout all the procedures following protein expression.
The course constitutes an intensive training in a number of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques including PCR, restriction digestion, gel electrophoresis, DNA cloning, bacteria transformation and protein purification.
